Eastern Patient of the Month
“We pursued acupuncture in the spring of 2013 when our lab Sundance, who was 4 at the time, started limping on her front legs. We really didn’t know what caused the limping – there were no big injuries, even though we did enjoy long walks with her, but her symptoms weren’t significantly proving with Western medications alone..."
- Wellness ExamsYour pet can benefit greatly from regular wellness examinations or checkups. Whether your pet is a youngster, a “senior citizen,” or any age in between, wellness examinations provide an excellent opportunity for us to conduct a thorough physical examination and develop a health profile for your pet. This information will help us identify medical problems
- Dental CareDespite what many pet owners may believe, “dog breath” is not just a nuisance – it’s a sign of an unhealthy mouth. Bad breath is caused by bacteria. Over time, bacteria leads to plaque and tartar buildup on your pet’s teeth. The result is bad breath, reddened gums, and other common signs of dental disease.
- VaccinationsPets today can live longer, healthier lives than ever before—in part because of vaccines that help protect them from deadly infectious diseases. Over the years, vaccines against dangerous diseases have saved millions of pets and virtually eliminated some fatal diseases that were once common. Unfortunately, many infectious diseases still pose a significant threat to dogs
Our Clients Love Us!
We love Dr. Cahoon and the staff at Veterinary Healing Center in El Dorado Hills. We have several animals and one in particular that suffers from seizures and has a heart problem. They take the time to fully evaluate and provide the care/treatment needed. We appreciate all they do!Tamara – GoldenState
I've found my forever Vet office. I've seen both Dr. Cahoon and Dr. McKerney and neither disappointed. I have a dog and two cats and they've taken their time with them and me explaining treatment plans and long term goals/ idealistic treatments. When I took my cat in for puking and found out she has early kidney disease I panicked, but between the two doctors they showed me how to do fluids at home to save money and explained to me the new diet and meds she'd be on and were honest about how the disease progresses and that quality of life is the most important, and trust me my Mama Cat is alive, happy, and sassy! Dr. Cahoon was very thorough and even had his staff call me the next day to see how she was doing! Very caring doctor. Luckily my other cat and dog are pretty healthy, but man did my dog Kona Bear love Dr. McKerney when he came in for his exam! They helped me avoid using drugs to control his mild skin allergies with a strict diet change and herbs! Very happy fur mom here! 🙂Heather C.
